Looking for a Child to Love

We are Nancy Cibotti and Jim Van Verth.  We’re searching for a courageous woman who has decided to place her newborn child with an adoptive family.  If you know someone who may be considering this, please pass this along to her. Thank you!

To a very special woman,

You have our respect and admiration for the courage you are demonstrating by giving your child a future.  We know you are making one of the hardest decisions you will ever make in your life.  We can only imagine how challenging this time must be for you as you make important decisions for yourself and your baby.  We pray that you will be filled with peace about your decision now and in the years to come.   We hope that you will consider us as adoptive parents for your newborn.

About us

We have been happily married for 7 years and enjoy many of the same interests, such as volleyball, bicycling, camping, working in the garden and spending time with family and friends.  We work together in a company that provides computer training.

What a child means to us

The decision to adopt was an easy one for us.  Our strongest desire is to be parents and share our lives and our love with a child.

We have had many conversations about what being parents means to us and how we want to raise our child.   We both agree that the opportunity to give unconditional love, understanding and encouragement to a child is an awesome responsibility that we can’t wait to experience!

We have looked at how we were raised, things we would do the same and things we would do differently.  We strongly believe that spending time having fun and communicating with a child is essential.  Through this we hope to learn about his or her unique personality and needs while creating opportunities to foster learning, growth, and the development of strong self esteem.  We believe in setting boundaries, but also allowing a child to be independent. We want to help our child see and experience the vast possibilities available in life, with happiness, joy and peacefulness above all else.  Although education is important to us, we also value exploring creativity and supporting our child to be well rounded in many areas.  Our dream is that he or she grow up to be a joyful and happy person.

Our home and family

We live in Aptos California, which is about 90 miles south of San Francisco on the Pacific coast.  We live 3 miles from the beach in a sunny, beautiful valley on 7 acres. There is lots of room for children to run and play.  We love to watch the deer, birds and other wildlife from our front porch.  Although we have quite a bit of room surrounding our home, we are only minutes away from city activities like shopping, cultural events, and good schools.

Family is very important to us and we have many friends with young growing children that we spend a lot of time with.  Both our families and friends are excited about us adopting and have expressed their strong belief that we will make wonderful parents.  Visits with our families are often and regular.  Time spent with friends and their children is frequent. A child in our home would instantly have extended family and friends to grow up with.

How to contact us
